NEKTON First Descent Mission Log February-2019

​​​​​​​Ocean Zephyr has now left Bremerhaven, Germany for the Seychelles mobilized with a broad selection of Teledyne Marine products. Teledyne Marine supplies the NEKTON mission with a wide breadth of products for safety and research including seafloor mapping, current measurements, underwater cameras & lights and a backup mini ROV. Teledyne Marine also supports the NEKTON mission with software for data collection as well as post processing and visualization. ​

Ocean Zephyr​​​​



★​ Mother vessel (Ocean Zephyr) – Teledyne RDI Pinnacle ADCP

★​ Survey launch (RIB) – Teledyne RESON SeaBat T50 based survey spread

★​ Triton Submersibles 1 & 2 – Teledyne Bowtech HD pro cameras and LED lights

★​ NEKTON ROV – Teledyne BlueView M900 sonar and Teledyne

★​ Bowtech Cameras and LED lights

★​ Teledyne SeaBotix ROV (as backup to main ROV)


Experts from Teledyne Marine will embark the Ocean Zephyr when she reaches the Seychelles at the end of February to finalize the mobilization of the systems. We will keep you posted with much more details when we finalize the setup.
