TOGSNAV is a comprehensive and fully integrated navigation system for ROVs that builds on TSS's core fiber optic gyro technology and inertial navigation capabilities by adding a fully coupled and integrated Teledyne RDI phased array Pioneer DVL.
It is available in three standard heading accuracy variants: 0.1° (TOGSNAV1), 0.3° (TOGSNAV3), and 0.5° (TOGSNAV5), with further options for DVL performance: 600 kHz (100 m) and 300 kHz (275 m), as well as an optional XRT (Extended Range Tracking) that offers a 50% increase in bottom tracking range.
Inertial position data is generated using an improved Kalman filter for superior performance, alongside accurate heading, attitude, and heave capabilities. Additional external coupling options include GPS, USBL, and LBL, as well as input from an external depth sensor and sound velocity sensor via an external SVS.
The system benefits from the Pioneer DVL's BM8 mode, optional XRT, highly accurate time of validity output, and transducer and system health monitoring. It features a built-in INS-DVL calibration function, making location-based calibration easy and eliminating the need for costly sea trials, ensuring optimal accuracy.
With an alignment time of just 10 minutes, TOGSNAV minimizes downtime and maximizes operational time. It is designed for OEM ROV manufacturers and operators, offering a variety of options for high flexibility, making it ideally suited for installation on a wide range of ROVs.
